How it works
Snap or upload a receipt
Simply snap a photo or upload a receipt and we'll parse it into an itemized list in seconds — items, tax, and tip included. The party leader can make any edits before sharing.
Share with friends
Add friends or other users to the bill to share with them. Users may also create payment groups, a pre-made group of users and friends to easily all be added to a bill in one click.
Claim your items
Finally, each user can claim their items, or a portion of an item they split. Their share of the bill, including their prorated share of the tax and tip

Why we created Mezme
Dining out with friends always started the same way. Great food, great people, great time. And then the bill would hit.
Splitting the bill always ended one of two ways. The restaurant splits it evenly and the person who had a salad pays the same as the person who had the steak. Or one person throws down their card, everyone pulls out their calculator, figures out what they owe, and the person who fronted it spends the rest of the night hoping everyone Venmos them the right amount with tax and tip included. A great night out shouldn't end like that.
We built Mezme. Snap the receipt, add your friends, and everyone claims exactly what they ordered. Mezme then redirects you to your preferred payment app, like Venmo or PayPal, with a pre-filled payment ready to send, your share of tax and tip included. You pay exactly what you owe, and your friend gets paid back instantly. No more even splits. No more awkward moments. No more group chat math at midnight.
